I've got two kew garden's coin

I have some Victorian pennies and ha'pennies with ugly green spots of bronze disease. The salt and distilled vinegar with boiled water method looks ideal, as these coins will be rendered safer to store and the design is not ruined too much. Sure, never clean coins - but what use is a coin that will deteriorate when the disease eats its way through in time or even spreads through other coins, as happens with so many joblots? I'm tempted to avoid buying bronze coins unless I can physically see them under a spyglass now. The dental tablets strip the coin a little too much for my taste. Great video here, thank you 😊

I have the 1887 shield silver sixpence, it Is a beautifully designed coin in superb condition. I think paying £12 for it almost a bargain. My local coin dealer writes with a black pen, the price had faded to blue, so I knew he'd had it on his books for along time.

I feel like thats a bad idea to just make a certain type of currency outdated and useless like this. Money should never be rendered obsolete like this because what if someone had a large sum of money saved up using this line of currency- is it just useless now? At the very least, it becomes a huge pain to use this money now. In the US, all forms of currency remain just as valid as other forms of currency no matter when they were made. We have bills created in 1939 (If i remember correctly) that were $500 and $1000 bills that although, very rare today, are just as useable as they were before.
